Reverend Cedric T. Anderson Sr.
Rev. Cedric T. Anderson, Sr. is a man who loves his family. He has been married to the love of his life (Kei’Anna Anderson) for the past 13 years. He believes God was showing out when He made her for himJ. God has blessed them with two intelligent, respectful and gifted sons (Cedric Jr. & Camron). He is the son of Pastor Lonnie E. Anderson, Jr. and Mrs. Patricia Anderson. He was raised in a household where God, family, education, respect and integrity was of importance. He grew up the old fashion way! He grew up saying “yes sir” and no ma’am”. Being respectful to adults was not an option for him. Going to church was not an option for him. Doing well in school was not an option for him. He was taught to love God and to love people.
More importantly, He is a child of God! He’s saved! He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at a young age. He knows without a doubt he is saved! He does not have any hesitations or reservations about his salvation. He understood he was guilty of sin and deserved eternal separation from God. He believes in the reality of Jesus dying on the cross and rising from the grave early Sunday morning! He accepted the free gift of salvation!
Rev. Anderson knew God called him to preach the Gospel at the age of fifteen. However, he did not tell anyone because he did not want to be a preacher! He began to run because of the grave responsibility of preaching. Growing up in a Pastor’s home, he knew first hand of the sacrifice and the stewardship of preaching. The fact that God would choose him to preach His eternal Word was amazing to him. He knew it was a call to servant hood. He tried his best to shake off his call to preach. This call gripped him! He knew this call to preach was not a feeling nor was it because his father was a preacher. He knew God called him into this ministry of servant hood. He knew he did not have an option; he had to preach the Gospel.
Rev. Anderson finally began to embrace the reality of his call to preach. As a result, he announced his call to preach at the age of nineteen and was licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ on September 30, 2001. Ever since then, he has faithfully served God, his Pastor, and his church family. God had a special plan for Reverend Anderson, so he was ordained in March of 2012 at the Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church.
There are so many great Pastor/Teachers who have been instrumental in the molding and shaping of Reverend Anderson. He would like to give a special thanks to Pastor Willie Love, Pastor Timothy Taylor, Dr. Billy Bell, Pastor Derek White, Pastor Anthony Pettus, Dr. Robert Lee and the late Dr. Ishmael Kimbrough, who all gave Reverend Anderson the opportunity to use his gifts.
Lastly, Pastor Anderson want to highlight his father, Pastor, and father in the ministry who has invested so much in his life; Pastor L. E. Anderson, Jr. He is grateful to God for this awesome father and pastor. He watched his Pastor give himself to Christ and the people of God. He is indeed a servant and a person He is honored to call Pops and Pastor. Thanks Pastor L.E. Anderson, Jr. for allowing God to use you to pour in our pastor.
